For kicking off some summer fun, June is the month of the 2024 Elanthia's Regional Ingredients Lore Contest!

Enter the contest and submit lore for an edible plant that would be commonly used for foods. This could be a herb, vegetable, fruit, etc. Name it, state what region the plant originates from, describe its physical appearance, describe its taste, and include any lore/history attached to it.

As an award, winners will receive a Level 4 RPA. Players can submit multiple entries, but will receive a single Level 4 RPA at max.

Contest submissions can be submitted via Google Forms link https://forms.gle/8kCko6MtjRwTYLG16and all entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on June 30th, 2024 to be eligible. The contest winners will be announced at the 2024 Glaes Spatula competition in July.

EXAMPLE ENTRY:
Edible Plant Name: briarberry
Region of Origination: Indigenous to Arthe Dale in the Zoluren province
Physical Characteristics: The bush itself is characterized by thick stems and waxy, arrow shaped leaves and numerous thorns found on both stems and leaves. It produces small, inconspicuous flowers and berry-like fruit.
Taste: The red berries are edible and have a sweet, tangy taste.
Lore/History: The briaberry is cultivated for it's woody roots, which the Olvi dry and carve into pipes. Perhaps the roots, dependent on the soil they thrive in, help flavor the tobacco when made into pipes. The edible berries can be cooked, as in a pie or tart.

Happy Fooding!
