A gift to the drylanders, the Merelew discovered a technique to soak common driftwood in specially treated suirite and fish oils to create a durable wood suited for long exposure to saltwater spray and sea air.

Faded white lines speckled by tiny silvery flecks track along with the natural grain of the wood.
