A note on the hook reads: "A Kertigen halo is a tool that can potentially store all of your non-consumable crafting tools. The one sold on the hook will hold up to five tools, but each potency crystal upgrade will add five more tool slots for a maximum of fifty. Infuser stones will give one-hundred-and-eighty days of being able to TURN the halo to a different tool."

Additional Notes

From GM Javac on 2022-MAR-25
Halos now store the damage of a weapon you PUT it on, or PUSH into it. Meaning you can do those things to damaged tools. The damage will propagate proportionally to the next weapon out. To prevent abuse with throw away tools, PULLing a damaged tool off the Halo will damage the Halo and propagate it to the next tool TURNed to.
Tool repair widgets will now repair the Halo if it's damaged.
Tools on it are damage free, unless the halo is damaged. Repairing the halo has to be done with a tool to repair it with scraper and oil. You can't repair the halo with a scraper and oil
