Necromancer TM Bug Fixes · on 11/25/2017 02:14 PM CST 1506
Hello, the following changes have been made to two Necromancer TM spells.

1) Acid Splash's maximum mana is reduced from 100 to 50.
2) Blood Burst's maximum mana is reduced from 100 to 66.

For those with limited experience with the magic system, I want to explain that this is not a nerf. The value of any given mana point is relative to the distance between maximum and minimum mana, rather than an absolute value. Acid Splash's 100 mana cost didn't mean it was twice as effective than now, it meant you had to pump twice as much mana to be as effective as it is now.

This is a bug fix rather than a re-balance; they were missing a critical flag that meant their costs were being calculated for the worse. Please note we are also considering other, significant changes to Blood Burst, but that is beyond the scope of this bug fix.

This is live in Plat and Prime, and will go live in Fallen in a few days assuming only the proper explosions take place.
