Look: This petite cephalopod is pieced together from irregularly shaped pieces of assorted fabrics and stuffed with a malleable mixture of glass beads, sand and wool. Thick ink-black stripes mark the octopus, crossing over each randomly patterned section of cloth to band its body and each narrowly tapered appendage. Spherical horizontally-slit eyes rise up from the creature's rounded head, and the positioning of fabric seams gives it the impression of a small mouth curved in a slight smile.
