Created at the request of GM Kodius as a page to collect comments on creatures, both in Prime and in test. This is not an official page on which to report bugs; it is intended to be a central list for the convenience of GM staff and the DR community.

To report a bug, please ASSIST or use the BUG command in-game, or post on the appropriate DR message board.

When you make an entry below, please include a timestamp --~~~~ (the squiggly lines button in the command bar just above the edit window) just like you would on a talk page. Also indicate whether the issue is in the current game, or 3.1

If/when an issue is resolved, please go back and strikethrough your entry by enclosing it with <s> and </s> to indicate the issue has been closed. Please keep the main page's list concise. Long discussions may go on the talk page.

Bugs

A location for mechanical defects.

Black Goblins/Damaska Boars - A few issues with these creatures, from time to time they land obliterating hits on me but they hardly ever actually do any damage, guessing just an erroneous message of a parry/shield block. Second and most annoying issue, as black goblins fight through a period of time they come pre loaded with however many throwing axes. Unfortunately, they follow this pattern: goblin starts out with let's say 5 axes, goblin throws axe, axe lands on the ground, goblin gets axe, goblin now has 6 axes. This repeats until said goblin is dead at which point the janitor is immediately summoned but because they are all thrown weapons, none of them are actually cleared and the janitor enters a cycle of being called continuously because all the axes are on the ground. Cave Trolls have some messaging issues. I'm not sure if this is particular to SLS:

The air takes on a sudden chill as a translucent pale grey sphere flares and rushes at a young cave troll!
The cave troll stares blankly as the flesh on its left arm crystallizes instantly and falls away in icy sloops. A skeletal appendage dangles there for a moment before it, too, shatters into frosted splinters.
grunts in pain as it glances at what used to be its left arm.

A young cave troll roars in frustration as its eyes slowly glaze over. With a feeble grunt of defiance, it falls to the ground with a thud.

Commentary

A location for commentary, such as why the area is difficult to hunt in, but are not technical flaws.

Spectral Pirate:

  • Enveloping attack virtually guarantees the loss of ranged weapons, making the unhuntable for anyone training ranged
  • I am not sure if the infected wounds still occur (I gave up my third time being enveloped without making a kill in a row) would also make them impossible to hunt for anyone but an empath. given how lethal infections are.

Ur Hhrki'izh:

  • Curse your lodged thrown weapons and ammo. Cannot be prevented with bless. This makes them unhuntable for even clerics using ranged weapons.
  • Immune to all non-holy magic, making them unhuntable for any magic user who wants to train Debilitation or Targeted Magic.
