[Medir's Home]
An overstuffed leather sofa and a lustrous walnut table with some stuff on it rest upon the dark pine floor of this room. A gorgeous riverstone fireplace, a vintner's wine keg stamped with "Medir's Tavern" hanging above it, burns from its resting place at the edge of the snowbeast pelt rug covering the floor. Rough-hewn oak walls enclose the area, holding in its mild smell of wine. You also see a wide oak-framed window, a wooden door, a black brewer's bar, a comfortable cushion-covered armchair that is facing away from the fireplace, a comfortable cushion-covered armchair that is facing away from the fireplace and a comfortable cushion-covered armchair that is facing the table.

Establishment and Events
The Tavern at Chelsea first opened its doors on the 193rd day of Uthmor, 385 to a fantastic (and diverse) crowd. The opening events included the Celebration of Elanthia Concert, which featured performances by representatives from each of the five Elanthian provinces, as well as a special drink-draw by which a collection of prizes were given away to lucky attendees. The evening's end witnessed a visit by the Lady Lindryl and a cohort of apparantly intoxicated bards.
Events that have taken place since include Pub Quiz, Roshambo Shots, Tales Over Ale and a number of smaller private events for weddings, parties, meetings and other functions.
Following a period of different events and the expansion of the initial Tavern business into production and culturing, Medir finished his search for an apprentice tavernkeep with the Apprentice event and challenge-series, which took place on the 176th day of Uthmor, 387. The event saw a bustling crowd cheer on a handful of eager contestants, each of whom pitted their skills against challenges including blind tasting, a sales pitch and dealing with a persistent drunkard. The events were judged by a guest panel which included the notable Crossing innkeeper Taelbert Tione. By the end of the evening's events, Medir was pleased to name Celendi the Apprentice Tavernkeep.
