Testing in Prime is proving frustrating. With no armor I am doing 20x the vitality of a typical player. This means you die in 1 swing, no matter what armor you are wearing. I'd have to kill myself over 500 times spamming the death window to collect the metrics I need :(

From what I can tell though, armor reduces damage by very similar amounts in the old system, but it just is not affected by skill (or the effect is not noticeable). With 0 skill my plate was absorbing close to 60% of the damage, and my cloth was absorbing close to 33% of the damage. The damage numbers are also 10x higher, and exponential at the extremes... making armor quite useless.

Who cares if your plate blocks 60% of the damage if the damage was enough to kill you 20-times over?
