Disarm: Trap Reorganization · on 4/21/2007 1:23:50 AM 4197
The traps on boxes have been reorganized to be more in line with the level of the creature. Creatures of lower level will have more non-lethal or less-lethal traps on them, whereas higher level creatures will have the more lethal traps.

Note: Trap difficulty has not changed, just how the system chooses what traps to put on what box.

Also, box poppers popping beneath their level should notice that exploding traps are less lethal than they used to be.

There will be a thorough review of traps coming up in the mysterious future, in which we'll look at the overly damaging or overly long nature of some of them, and try to bring them more in line and scale them better.

Please post if you notice any oddities with your traps, especially when they blow up.

This change is intended primarily to help low level characters learn how to work with and disarm traps without it becoming fatal.

Coming soon, there will be a thorough review of each trap type, in order to bring some anomalies into line and make sure they are all behaving as we'd like them to.

This is live in Prime, has been in Plat for a while, and will be coming to TF soon.
