>>Did the dragons speak common to Aaron Albuan or did Aaron Albuan speak draconic to the dragon?

Language never came up in Journey to the Forbidden West. Implicitly every strange tribe, terrible creature, and the dragon all spoke Common. Or Albuam just didn't consider it relevant to the story.

Many of your questions can be answered by other sources.

>>Are there magic words spoken, gestures made, do they bathe in the blood of mortals, do they just have to think about, or does it just manifest naturally? (i.e.: they start fly so big air spells flares up instinctivly, or open their mouths and breathing fire, if they do that).

Actually, kind of the opposite. Albuam's host stated that most of these "classical dragon qualities" (flying for the hopelessly unaerodynamic beast, breath weapons of fire or even more exotic types) are Elemental magic at work, not natural abilities. Life Dragons supposedly lack them altogether.

>>Did Albaum and the dragon ever speak of the Dragon Priest Empire or the Dragon Priests themselves?

They do not come up in the narrative.

>>Roughly how long ago was this encounter?

Journey to the Forbidden West was published 30 years ago, ten years before Albuam passed away.
