Using ripple during an invasion is also a good way to incur GM wrath. There have been some nice mid-level invasions with a lot of people involved, and all of a sudden a 100+ level Moon Mage runs through rippling every invasion room and ruining the fun for a lot of other players.

Ripple should generally NOT be used during ordinary invasions except perhaps to clean up trash after the goodies have been recovered. If other players are actively trying bring down critters in the room, it is definitely not OK to ripple the critters away. I am not going to split hairs over when it is and isn't OK to use ripple, but people who wreck invasions with ripple are likely to get a stern talking to at a minimum.

There have been some event-related invasions where ripple was the only viable option, or at least useful in some special situations. Those are exceptions.
