| If something is signature it (shouldn't) appear in the scroll system or other places, so a case like this where it requires another spell to functional at all is more of a preemptive measure to avoid frustration.
I realize that, in theory, the spell would be usable by getting CV from another scroll or a rune or another MM. | |
