Work orders is the system of requesting work from a crafting hall master, completion of which results in both pay and crafting prestige.

Gaining Work

While holding your logbook in hand, ASK <master> FOR <EASY/CHALLENGING/HARD> <discipline> WORK.

If the work given is somehow problematic, after a short period of waiting, another order can be requested, which replaces the first without penalty.

Difficulty

The difficulty of work is set with regard to the requestor's skill, not on an absolute basis.

The system does not seem to take into account what techniques the worker knows, making some tasks easier or harder.

Time

Work order times pass whether or not the crafter is in game.

Submitting Work

While holding the logbook in one hand and the requested item in the other BUNDLE <item> WITH LOGBOOK.

Once the full order is bundled, give them to the master who requested them and payment is given.

Pay

The resulting pay from a work order is dependent on a number of factors:

  • Difficulty: The harder the order, the more that is paid out.
  • Item: Some items are just worth more, usually because they require more material or add on pieces.
  • Materials: Using cheap materials will reduce the pay received, and more expensive ones will incresase it.
  • Quality: While only exceptional quality is required, higher quality will result in higher pay.
  • Charisma: Nicer people get paid more.
  • Guild: Guild in some way affects amount. It is likely Traders receive more pay, but this has not been confirmed.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use materials with high workabilities to complete orders that are hard for you.
  • High quality (fluxed) materials will bonus your skill to making an item.
  • High quality player-made tools will also give you a bonus.
