OOC is a term meaning "Out Of Character". For many, what is considered in or out of character in terms of gameplay is often subjective. The term itself refers to what can be seen or viewed from the characters perspective as being IC and anything else as OOC.

Examples of OOC things:

  • Speaking about parts of the game mechanics or systems the player characters can not see or know about. Such as references to profiles, "PVP stances", or being "OPEN/GUARDED/CLOSED".
  • Knowing a player character's name, title, or guild without having met them before. This is largely regarded as normal in Prime.
  • Some regard speaking about skills in specific numeric ranks as OOC behavior.
