Specific Types
Aurora opal
- A swirled stone of white, pink, azure, red and orange with flecks of white and green.
Cherry opal
- A bright cherry red.
Draconic opal
- Deep blue with streaks of red and coral.
Dragon fire opal
- The extremely rare dragon fire opal has a brilliant flame in its heart, causing it to sparkle wildly even in small amounts of light.
Firesilk opal
- It bears signature bursts of gold and crimson within the pale white stone.
Flame opal
- White background with streaks of blue, coral and red; Not the same depth of colors as draconic.
Frost opal
- Tiny ice blue and green bursts in the lustrous milky white base lend to the glacial appearance of this small oval gem.
Frostfire opal
- Believe this was sold during the Taisidon safari. More information required.
Frostflare opal
- A pale blue stone with flecks of deep blue, white and pale green. One example: "Tiny multihued snowflake-shaped crystals hang suspended in the heart of the frostflare opal."
Nightfire opal
- The dusky blue opal, with its signature bursts of silvery blue, deepest black and pure crimson highlighted by starry flecks of white, glimmers like a captive piece of night sky.
Sky opal
- It is a blue sky opal. Assuming it wasn't meant to be a 'sky blue opal,' we are taking a guess that this is the color of a clear blue sky with a sheen for which opals are coveted.
Snow opal
- More information required.
Sunset opal
- This pale pink opal, with its mixture of deep blue, forest green, gold, silver and crimson flecks, catches the light and creates a fiery, sunset-like explosion in any jewelry setting. Ranges from pale pink with brassy highlights, to magenta with delicate flecks of gold.
Water opal
- It's really a kind of shell instead of being a true opal, but the lovely bands of blues and greens give this stone its traditional appeal to those wishing to find the love of their lives.
