Description: Destiny Cipher is one of the more exciting results to arise from the Heritage House's meticulous research. In essence, it is a Sophister meditation technique that has been blended with strands of philosophy from Fortune's Path and grounded in the planar theory first outlined by the Celestial Compact. Unlike other spells that enhance a mage's prophetic talents, Destiny Cipher seeks to clarify the meaning of a prophecy. Many find it useful when working with unfamiliar divination tools or techniques, allowing for a rapid increase in familiarity.
Effect: Increases potency of visions, removes sect preference penalty for divination tools, and increases tool bonding rate.
Example Messaging: You close your eyes and take several slow, calming breaths.

The mental strain of this pattern is considerably eased by your ritual focus. Your mind is cleared of distraction, the present and the mundane. You are adrift in an unbroken sea of silent darkness.

Minute disturbances in the darkness send rings of ripples dancing across the surface. They collide, merge, and pass on. Peaks and troughs accent and cancel one another in a series of chaotic collisions. As you watch, a sense of harmony arises from their interplay, the ripples drifting into phase and the darkness moving with a unified purpose.

The darkness recedes and you find your thoughts unified, your mind honed to a prophetic purpose.

Devices/Tattoos: No devices or tattoos documented.

Notes

  • Teleologic corruption reduces the potency of the spell. The greater the level of corruption the more the potency is reduced. (Needs confirmation. It may a difficulty increase instead.)
