Rank

A Rank is a whole-number increment of learned experience in a given skill.

Your ability in a skill is determined by the number of ranks you have attained in that skill.

Achievement of specified ranks in various skills is necessary in order to gain circles or character Guild levels.

While it is generally considered OOC to discuss numerical character data in-game, it is usually acceptable to mention when you have gained a rank, or that you need a certain number of ranks in order to circle.
