Weaponsmithing will be a discipline of the Forging skill after the mech split. There are place to practice it at the Riverhaven Forging Society and Crossing Forging Society, as well as a new forge in Shard.

Basics

The procedure is identical to metal shaping in blacksmithing, but with an additional step of polishing on a grinding wheel.

Techniques

see Weaponsmithing Techniques Techniques are required to do somethings in the discipline, such as honing, tempering, and balancing.

Weapon Enhancements

Honing

Honing requires a grindstone, a wire brush, and some oil. Honing a finished weapon will reduce it's weight.

  • Note: a weapon can be honed or balanced, but not both!

Tempering

Tempering requires an anvil and tongs.

Balancing

Balancing is an identical process to honing, but it will increase a weapon's balance in exchange for some damage.

  • Note: a weapon can be honed or balanced, but not both!
