The TIE command is used for various actions, including tying weapons to weapon straps with string, arranging another character's (or your) hair, and tying off gem pouches.

The TIE verb is primarily used for altering your own or another's hair.

Syntax:
TIE MY HAIR
TIE HAIR <PLAYER>

Please note that a player's demeanor can affect messaging and/or your ability to TIE their hair at all.  Your race can also affect messaging.

Related (hair) verbs: BRAID, UNBRAID, MUSS, UNTIE, PULL <SELF>, COMB, ARRANGE.

Tying a gem pouch will allow you to continue putting gems in it but not open the pouch. Thieves also cannot steal from a tied pouch. A trader can untie it. Alternatively, you can sell it.

The dark gem pouch has been tied off.  You'll need to sell the contents before you can use it again.
