Barrage is a Warrior Mage ability that combines a melee weapon attack with a cast targeted damaging spell.

To use Barrage, you must have a proper Targeted Magic Spell prepared and fully targeted. That target will be the target for the melee attack. Since the spell's target will be the melee target as well you can't choose a different target for the melee attack, but you CAN specify what type of melee attack you wish to use.

BARRAGE syntax: BARRAGE {maneuver} Current valid options are: thrust, lunge, slice, chop, sweep, jab, draw, pummel, swing, bash, feint, and attack. BARRAGE alone will default to attack.

Example:

>barrage lunge You focus on manipulating an aethereal pathway to suffuse your targeting matrix, then allow its pattern to direct the force of your staff. You gesture at a snowbeast. A shard of elemental fire flies at a snowbeast! Its right leg is broken and burned nearly to the bone by the fire shard! The snowbeast is barely stunned! Roundtime: 1 second.

Heatless orange flames climb your staff before winking out of existance. < You lunge a steel-capped ironwood quarter staff carved with multiple cambrinth-inlaid symbols at a snowbeast. A snowbeast fails to evade. The staff lands a very heavy hit that knocks the snowbeast's breath away with a loud *Whuff* as the stomach takes full force of the blow as it attempts to regain balance. [You're winded, somewhat off balance and in superior position.] [Roundtime 6 sec.]

It should be noted that Barrage consumes Manipulative Resolve when used, so a mage has a limited amount of uses before he must rest.
