Elbow
Brawling maneuver that strikes an opponent with your elbow. It is very quick and balance building, and does not require a free hand.
Unknown

The ELBOW command strikes an enemy with the elbow. Unlike PUNCH it does not require a free hand, so it stays available when both hands are full.

Syntax

  • ELBOW
Attack the enemy you are already engaged with, or pick a new one if you are not engaged.
  • ELBOW <enemy>
Attack the indicated enemy.
  • ELBOW <enemy> <body part>
Attack the indicated enemy, aiming for the named body part.
  • ELBOW LEFT <enemy>
Attack with your off hand, training Offhand Weapon skill alongside Brawling skill.
  • ELBOW HELP
Basic syntax help. ELBOW HELP FULL gives the maneuver's mechanical profile, and ELBOW HELP LIST lists the other combat options.

Detailed Information

Elbow is a brawling maneuver.
Elbow tends to be a moderately fatiguing maneuver. Attacking again too soon can make this worse.
Elbow tends to be balance building.
Elbow is a very quick maneuver, but heavy or unbalanced weapons can slow the attack further.
Elbow is more accurate than most maneuvers, and is best suited to impact weapons and least suited to both puncture and slice weapons.
Elbow temporarily penalizes all defenses, but is equally suited to evasion, parry, and shield defenses.

Notes

  • See Roundtime for brawling minimum roundtimes.
  • Armor adds a small amount of damage based on its type, but only if you are wearing armor on the body part you are striking with. Brawling items such as knuckles, elbow spikes and footwraps override that bonus and convert the damage type of the limb they cover.
  • Elbow remains available while grappling. See Roundtime for brawling minimum roundtimes while grappled.
