| Look: | The brown harrier is a solidly built hound, about five hands tall, with large bones for his size. Bred to hunt by scent, he has a black nose with wide nostrils and a substantial muzzle. His head is in proportion to his body, with low-set, light brown ears and intelligent hazel eyes. He has a strong neck that sweeps smoothly into the forequarters, a deep chest, and muscular legs. His coat is short and dense with a glossy texture, light brown over the head and hind quarters, with a dark saddle across the back, a white chest, and a small, wiry brush along the curve of the white-tipped tail. |
