"If we conceive the universe to be like the frequencies of mana, as they seem to represent fundamental attributes of the universe, then we must describe the Plane of Abiding as a sorcery. Every meaningful Human experience is born from the interaction of animate and inanimate matter at the junction between divine potential and natural philosophy. Nothing wrought in the Plane of Abiding can survive in absence of this blending of powers; this divine and perfect sorcery.

"If we accept this as an effective model for the universe, the next step is a simple one. Just as we describe the qualities of the Plane of Abiding in terms of sorcery, could we not understand all the qualities of the life therein as a necromancy? Is the secret behind the Necrolords' unaccountable power over souls and damnation that we keep forgetting to look on the mantle place first?"
