Gore weapons are any weapon that has been imbued with the ability to collect gore in combat. What this means is that as the weapon is used the description of the weapon changes to display the collection of blood and flesh. The more the weapon is used the more "gore" it collects. There are several levels of gore that can be accumulated.

It should be noted that gore will only accumulate from fighting creatures that teach you that weapon.

Gore Levels

  1. <weapon>.
  2. <weapon> that has flecks of blood on it.
  3. <weapon> that is splattered with blood.
  4. <weapon> that is smeared with blood.
  5. <weapon> that is slick with blood.
  6. <weapon> that is bloody and dotted with bits of bone.
  7. <weapon> that is dripping with blood and bits of fatty tissue.
  8. <weapon> that is covered with blood and strips of flesh.
  9. <weapon> that is drenched with blood and dangling entrails.
  10. <weapon> that is slathered with blood and gore.

Verbs

There are three verbs that are attached to any weapon that has been imbued with gore properties. They are CLEAN, LICK, and WAVE each of which will reduce the gore. Time will also decay the amount of gore on the weapon.

No Gore

  • CLEAN:
You carefully clean off a <weapon>.
It's as clean as it's going to get.
  • WAVE:
You wave <weapon> in front of you slowly, allowing all to see the power you wield.
  • LICK: (This effect is typical of licking any bladed weapon and not an effect of a gore weapon.)
You cut yourself licking <weapon>.
Stunned 20 seconds!

Gore:

  • CLEAN:
You carefully clean off <weapon>.
  • WAVE:
You raise <weapon> and then with a quick motion bring it downwards, slinging the gore everywhere!
  • LICK:
You extend your tongue and drag it over the surface of <weapon>, tasting the blood of your enemies and find it sweet and satisfying!

Notes

  • Gore provides only an aesthetic change. It does not change the functionality of the weapon.
  • If you ever alter a gore weapon the GM doing the alteration should be notified the weapon is a gore weapon to avoid overiding the visual effects of gore.
