Description

The velver is incredibly small, if it were not for its deep ebon color and the fact it is usually carrying an itsy bitsy bow you might mistake it for a rodent. The velver wears a constant grin.

In Depth

Their arrows are coated with a sleeping poison.

Supervelvers

There are occasionally individual velvers that have been known to invade that are essentially "supervelvers". They tend to appear on their own, without any other critters, but are very dangerous. While looking like typical velvers, they have drastically higher skills. Their perception can detect 400+ ranks of hiding; a fully prepped capped Ice Patch with over 900 PM cannot take them down. They were able in recent invasions to one-shot 100+ moonmages and barbarians. They are, however, apparently somewhat vulnerable to mental blast, as well as Tezirah's Veil and other disabling spells that contest atypical stats. A immobilized supervelver can be killed easily with around 500 ranks of weapon skills (comparatively, 650 ranks of weapon skills cannot touch the supervelver without first disabling it.)

Equipment/Loot

Post Death Taunts

  • The velver says, "Turtle riding is a pretty fun sport."
  • The velver says, "I like dogs, on a platter!" He laughs heartily.
  • The velver says, "I know that you know that I know that you're dead."
