Black leeches do not require 300 ranks of FA to tend away. I was doing it with less than 150 with 100+ perception and around 25 stamina. I would tread very carefully so that you don't get more than 2 or 3 sucking on you at one time because the vitality hits are much more powerful, but they aren't that hard to pull off unless you get them on the back or eyes (neither of which happens, I believe, if you're standing up and walking around).--[[User:Symphaena|Symphaena]] 14:47, 28 September 2008 (CDT)

When I placed the req for the black leeches, I was going by what I had when I was able to tend them off reliably. While some may get them sooner, thats what it took for me.
