Description
Walking on jagged stilts of electricity, the voltaic custodian is an intricately constructed orichalcum coil suspended inside a beryl-hued ball lightning. What pass for limbs appear to be fluidly defined: transient arcs continuously sprout or blow away.
Recall
Reports from Warrior Mages studying these constructs using Othersight has led scholars to conclude that the voltaic custodians' creation occurred long before the first Lord of the Void discovered the Plane of Electricity. Their activities and behaviors suggest that the custodians will service the unfathomable structure for as long as it generates power.
Their form somewhat fluid, the custodians generate limbs at will, displaying no preference between scuttling on dozens of arcs, bipedal, or hovering atop a diffuse haze of electrical discharge. From the way this creature seems to observe its surroundings, an innate sense of curiosity is evident.
Though distinctly manufactured, the custodians appear to be capable of repairing one another and making yet more of their kind. How this self-perpetuation is possible -- and what it means -- is a matter of scholarly debate, and though it is unclear as to why a small population of the constructs appear to be malfunctioning and viewing Elanthians as a threat, their intent is unmistakable.

Death
A lesser voltaic custodian's electric aura winks out. The orichalcum coil that was its heart falls down mangled.
