Laakmir is a small freshwater lake in the [[Ker'Leor]] mountain range west of [[Therenborough]]. Due to its pristine beauty and therapeutic waters, the lake has always been the source of much folklore and legend, and some talks claim it was created by pure elemental power when the [[The Suur Pillar (book)|Suur Pillar]] fell to earth and created a large crater that was subsequently filled by water. Some modern researchers, however, advocate the most likely source was the collapse of an ancient volcano. Laakmir was named by gypsies in the area. |
