Located in Kweld Gelvdael, the black basalt slab contains an ancient prayer to Aldauth, written in a powerful language long forgotten to any who now walk Elanthia. Hierophantic Clerics are said to be able to summon His audience with the symbols etched into it, entreating the chimera-shaped temple to shut its massive stone beak upon themselves in an act of supreme sacrifice.

The Sacrificial Prayer

From the Scorpion's goblet I sipped,
To slip beneath the wake of the Ebon Tide,
The pall of death wrapped about me as a cloak.
I soared fluidly through the ether,
Upon the wretched wings of a buzzard,
To leave part of myself upon The Bridge.
I escaped the Void with haste,
My soul forever changed.
The Gift of Life's Breath,
Branded upon my spirit.
Now I repay some of what I have taken,
And give to You the same in kind.
Take now your price for my use of thy gifts.
For what little my mortal life will mean.
I offer myself unto thee, Lord Aldauth.
