Energy Bolt Targeted Magic Spell
Abbreviation: BOLT
Prerequisites: none
Minimum Prep: 1
Casting Cap: 130
Valid Spell Target: Others, Critters
Description: Energy Bolt is noteworthy as the most simple Targeted Magic spell pattern that can be constructed using the magical laws of the Plane of Abiding. While it bears some of the structural characteristics of Fire Shard, Hand of Tenemlor, and Telekinetic Throw, the pattern has been distilled down to its fundamental parts. This tinkering has made the spell one of the Analogous Patterns, truly compatible across all frequencies of mana.

Due to its simplicity, Energy Bolt does not have a single, consistent manifestation. Instead, the form of energy that the spell conjures up is based on which type of mana the magician uses to power the spell.

Example Messaging: With a flick of your wrist, you attempt to send the spell energy cascading down its targeting matrix.

Holy:
A dart of white fire hurtles toward a fendryad!
The holy fire lands a heavy strike to its chest!

Lunar:
A tiny ripple in the air hurtles toward a fendryad!
The telekinetic force lands a heavy strike to its chest!

Elemental:
A small lightning bolt hurtles toward a fendryad!
The lightning lands a heavy strike to its chest!

Life:
A burst of blue-green light hurtles toward a fendryad!
The blue-green light lands a heavy strike to its chest!

Arcane:
Acid bolt
