Skalliweg Barrelthumper, proud proprietor of The Half Pint, perches alertly on a high stool behind the sleek, polished bar, shouting at serving wenches, cooks and customers alike. Patrons dine, drink, dispute and dream on, in spite of the constant hum, draped over comfortable rush-seated chairs or hunched over well-worn tables.
