The MEASURE command is used to measure the dimensions of an object you are holding. Attempting to estimate the dimensions without a tool requires and teaches Appraisal skill. Measuring with a yardstick is always accurate.
Measuring an open container will measure its internal dimensions and carrying capacity. Note that a container's dimensions change as you fill it up based on the elasticity of the material.
The MEASURE command is also used in the Tailoring discipline.
