- Trained by successful attempts to unlock difficult locks.
- Increased Lockpicking skill increases likelihood of picking a more difficult lock.
- Increased Lockpicking skill increases the type of lockpick that can be carved.
- Master Iron Lockpicks require approximately 200 ranks of Lockpicking skill and appropriate Khri (Support, Sight, Spot, and Safe)
- Grandmaster Iron Lockpicks can first be made (very rarely) with approximately 350 ranks of Lockpicking skill plus appropriate Khri.
- Increased Lockpicking skill improves success of fixing lockpicks that are slightly bent.
- 300 Ranks of Lockpicking skill earns the Locksmith title.

- Lockpick Carving Syntax: CARVE KEYBLANK WITH KNIFE then CARVE LOCKPICK WITH KNIFE
