#REDIRECT [[Character]] |
GMPC stands for Game Master Player Character, they are used by [[Game Master]]s to fill out story lines, as well as adding a certain amount of GM control over the plot within the DragonRealms verse. |
They are also sometimes called GMNPCs, meaning Game Master Non-Player Character, a term which derives mainly from tabletop role playing games, but means the same thing. |
==Appearance== |
A GMPCs appearance is usually just like any other adventurer's. They look like and are interacted with just like any other character. They may have special descriptions or features that players do not have access to. |
==Interaction== |
[[PvP]] is expected against certain GMPCs, these are PCs that are 'generals' or otherwise leaders of groups which players are expected to have combat with, and will often openly attack a settlement. |
On the other side of things are GMPCs that are alterers, and these GMPCs should be respected and role played within the context of the setting. Remember they are GMs, so they hold a certain level of authority, and they probably want to have fun doing even when working. |
Some GMPC's have a political affiliation and others were created to only be around when a GM is controlling them. However, a GM can control regular NPCs like guild leaders for events as well. |
