Tourmaline is a mineral of compounded elements. It can be found in a wide variety of colors.
- Species of Tourmaline
- shorl - The most common species of tourmaline. Brownish black to black.
- dravite - Also called brown tourmaline. Dark yellow to brownish black.
- elbaite - green, red to pink, blue, orange, yellow, clear.
- Varieties of Elbaite
- rubellite - red or pinkish-red (See pink tourmaline.)
- indicolite - light blue to bluish green
- verdelite - green
- achroite - clear
- watermelon tourmaline - green and pink
Note - Not all varieties of tourmaline are referenced in Elanthia.
