Dreamheart/Comparison Chart of Stonebows

Notes about using this chart:

• I did not make all the stonebows in the tinkering book; I only made the weapon models from the Tinkering products page that are considered Advanced (from the Tech names).
• Affinity seems to be the singular property of any wood in relationship to the combat properties of a finished piece.
• To save time/coins, I only laminated once during the test crafting. The better construction value will always be because the stonebow is laminated. It does not impact the rest of the stats. Keep that in mind as you review the chart.
• I made at least two levels of affinity for each stonebow model, 85 and 95 affinity.
• I made two different mechanisms for each stonebow/wood/style, one at either end of the ductility values. Usually, darkstone (20) or Nickel/Brass (both 90)
  • Ductility does not have seem to make a large difference from 90 down to 31. You need to get under 30 for it to change. Whether this is fractional, too, I have no idea. But 31-96 ductility ... seems to yield the exact same results in the mechs.
  • Ductility in the mechanisms below 30 results in -2 to balance and +1 to suitedness
• Loading time is from hand, without any penalties. Where there is a decimal value, that is an average of 25 loads (sometimes more, but even with a script, it is as tedious as watching paint dry). The average should give you an idea whether a stonebow will have more 4 second loads than 5 second ones. There is a definite difference, depending on the mods and mechs.
• Loading time with a notation of anything point zero means every single load time was the same.
• Expect the load time to vary +/- .2 for any given average.
• The Points column is the sum of FOI, BALANCE, and SUITEDNESS
• There is no draw strength listed here because it is not part of stonebow appraisal
• When a stonebow has been modified by cabling or lightening, and the appraisal stays the same, it is because the difference is fractional.
• Lightening adds to balance, removes from suitedness (always, even if only fractional), shaves off a few stones, and usuall impacts the draw, too.
• Cable-backing adds to suitedness, removes from balances, (always, even if only fractional), adds a few stones, and ... usually impacts the draw, too.
• lam = laminated
• cab = cable-backed
• li=lightened

FOI impacts damage potential
Balance = Accuracy
Suitedness affects the power in the hit
