Purple-tinted silk has been draped haphazardly over a collection of hide-covered chests, creating a counter area for the gem dealer to work upon. Heavy clay jars line the tent wall behind the chests in a tidy row, in vivid contrast to the rest of the chadir, which is filled with several unpacked trunks, bags, and rolls of hide. You also see Kurtz, a tent flap, and a silk-covered counter.
