From somewhere nearby come the sounds of adze, plane and hammer and the smells of fine wood and glue; but in this room, polished floors and paneled walls are the setting for the cabinetmaker's art. The light from a few candles reflects in the varnished surfaces of skillfully made doors. You also see the exit and a clerk.
