Small cutaway illustrations scattered around the main drawing show different levels of exoskeleton and viscera from various parts of the body. Small notations beside each body part offer a short description. A separate, diagrammed drawing of the westanuryn's head accompanies the main illustration. Read: Barely two feet long and made of dense chitin and sinew, the westanuryn resembles an oversized scorpion, right down to the vicious looking stinger held aloft in readiness. Lined along its front claws are jagged armor plates, most likely used to burrow through sand and dirt at speed, and provide additional protection from struggling prey to the front.
