Description: The Arc Light spell uses small amounts of raw electrical energy to produce a blinding flash of light which throws the target off balance. Though non-lethal, use caution since it's possible to ignite naphtha with the flashes.

Example Messaging: A brilliant flash of light issues from your hands.
The bright flash disorients the fendryad.

Notes

  • Only effective at melee range.
  • Can specify a single target, or generally cast to affect all targets in range.
  • No effect if cast again on the same target within roughly 30 seconds.
  • May also disrupt a target's prepared spell.
  • If the target is a player, can cause slight (1-2 second) RT in the target.
  • Ignites Naphtha but not consistently.
  • Compatible with the Pattern Hues cantrip.
  • With the release of the Analogous Patterns Spellbook, this spell can now be chosen at 1st circle.
  • This spell does cause Empathic shock if cast on non-construct targets. Due to a bug, it currently causes shock if it is cast at ALL by an empath.[1]
