-The [[found on::RanikMap46|Sand Pit]] is a favored location of [[guild association is::Empath]]s when they spend more time than usual in the [[found in::Muspar'i]] area because of the [[Damage#parasite|red leech]]es in the Sand Pit. When an Emapth tends them off they teach {{skill|Empathy}}, {{skill|Mechanical Lore}}, {{skill|Animal Lore}} and {{skill|First Aid}}.
-For non Empaths instead of teaching Empathy you will learn {{skill|Skinning}}. There are two different species of leeches that live in the Sand Pit. The Red leeches are found in the northern part of the pit while the Black Leeches live in the Southern part. It is recommended that anyone with less than [[Experience|Aficionado to Adept]] levels in First Aid stay away from the Black leeches.
