This doesn't seem accurate. I was getting about 1 learning level per every few charges at 10 mana. I charged an orb a full 100 in one swoop and only gained 1 learning level. This makes it significantly less mana efficient since 10/charge is sustainable and 100/charge is not. |

:According to the Arcana skill page, the formula is 100+2*(capacity), which would make sense given your problem. If you can confirm that it starts working around 500 arcana, we can update this article[[User:NUKENAVY|NUKENAVY]] ([[User talk:NUKENAVY|talk]]) 07:59, 23 January 2017 (CST) |

I'm playing a magic user for the first time in years, and I came to this page looking for:
+ The syntax to use cambrinth items.
+ How much mana certain run of the mill items hold. (Cambrinth ring, twisted cambrinth armband, cambrinth orb).
+ How many MD ranks to start using cambrinth.
+ How many MD ranks to start using cambrinth with only one hand (?).
+ How many MD ranks to start using cambrinth that is worn.
I didn't see any of this information here, so thought it might be a good candidate to add to this page, if anyone else sees the need.

Thanks for adding that information, Reene. Magic newbs such as myself rejoice. Prime-Lorzelophia 16:05, 16 April 2008 (CDT)
Currently, the most efficient experience gain per action for training arcana via cambrinth is charging your cambrinth with as much mana as you can without ruining your attunement.
This doesn't seem accurate. I was getting about 1 learning level per every few charges at 10 mana. I charged an orb a full 100 in one swoop and only gained 1 learning level. This makes it significantly less mana efficient since 10/charge is sustainable and 100/charge is not.

Worn Cambrinth
The long held theory of 100+held amount for worn cambrinth appears to be incorrect. 407 Arcana will not allow me to charge a 200 mana scythe while worn. (it can be done, someone with 1000+ was able to) It would be nice to find the figure for this, I'll keep testing unless someone else comes up with an answer first. Nazaruss11/8/2016 12:16 AM CST
