Verb Clarifications:

* These puppies ONLY enjoy being placed inside their own special containers. Don't lose yours!

** These puppies CAN be given away. Using GIVE clears you as the owner. However, you should keep in mind that you are ONLY allowed to pick up one from Duskruin. It's advised that you only trade with your own characters, as you won't be able to get another one to upgrade during future years!

Moods: The puppies have moods. Certain verbs can increase their level of agitation or affection. The same verbs can generate MANY potential responses depending on your puppy's current mood!

Alterations

Certain alterers may be willing to trim, dye, or add designs to your puppy's fur, or otherwise make descriptive alterations to it. Not all alterers will be willing to work with them. We will not, under any circumstance, allow alterations that imply abuse or cruelty. The alterer has the final say to what he/she will allow -- please don't argue.

Movement Messaging

The following room atmospherics show up when a fully unlocked puppy moves into an area:

• A <type> puppy trots proudly into the area, tail wagging.
• A <type> puppy scrambles madly into view, sounding like a herd of mammoths.
• A chorus of yips and barks heralds the arrival of a <type> puppy.
• A <type> puppy suddenly charges into the room, pitching headfirst into the ground.

The following room atmospherics show up when a fully unlocked puppy leaves an area:

• A <type> puppy stares alertly off into the distance then suddenly charges out of view.

The following room atmospherics show up when a fully unlocked puppy is active in an area:

• A <type> puppy sits down on your foot, tipping its head back to grin up at you.

Additional Notes

• Some in-person merchants, such as Hlee, will work on altering a puppy's appearance.
• Puppies can be registered. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR PUPPY AND CRATE, particularly if you've had it altered.
