Captain of the Watch Grimnur says, "I have asked help for the Watch, so you will become a temporary member and be given orders for a shift on the Watch. This mission will require you to spend at least six anlas on the battlements. You will not be able to leave the battlements, which means *no* going down the wall. No dying on your watch! At the first sign of trouble you should go up into the watch tower and sound the brass clarion. This is also about body count, so no hiding or standing around. If you accept this then ASK me about job again within 10 seconds.
Remember, if you are not able to complete the time requirement, then don't do the mission. If you have problems taking orders, then don't do the mission. I will not let you attempt it again for some time if you leave your post or fail the Watch."
> ask Grimnur about job

Captain of the Watch Grimnur says, "Right then!"
Grimnur writes your name down on a roster then looks back up at you and says, "Your post is the battlements. I will personally relieve you of your duty when the time comes. We are expecting some trouble, so keep a sharp eye out. Hopefully help will be close by.
Your orders are as follows:

Stay alive.

Stay on the battlements or watch tower until I relieve you.

Kill any and all creatures that come within your post. Sound the clarion when you need to. You may have help with this but it is your responsibility to keep the battlements clear."

Leaning toward you Grimnur whispers, "If you live thru the watch then you will gain the respect of many folks who fight here, myself included."

Captain of the Watch Grimnur snaps to attention.
Grimnur gives you a quick half salute and says, "Carry on with your orders!"

Buff up buttercup! Prepare for the onslaught. Hang out on the battlements, and within a few roisaen they will start to flood over the walls. Also, Sporadically while you are fighting...

Captain of the Watch Grimnur quickly marches in and says, "You have not proven yourself enough for me to relieve you. Get a higher body count for *yourself*. I am extending your tour one anlas till you get it right." Then he quickly marches away.

Once you've slain enough mobs...

Captain of the Watch Grimnur quickly strides in and says, "Clear the wall and then come talk to me about your mission then I may relieve you." Then he strides out the way he came.

Find Grimnur when you're done and "ask grimnur about job"

Captain of the Watch Grimnur says, "Thank you so much for your diligent efforts <PlayerName>. The commander has given me permission to muster you as a contributing member of the Emerald Knights. Here is your badge. It is yours alone and you will NOT be issued another like it. You will now be recognized on sight by any of our members and should walk proudly as a defender of the Wall."
Grimnur hands you a a brass badge etched with a laurel and lion's claw crest and claps you on the shoulder with a smile.
Captain of the Watch Grimnur says, "Good luck to you and keep an ear out for any other help we might need. We would greatly appreciate your help again."

I did this quest immediately after getting my holy weapon, and the battle seemed quite fitting level-wise. The vines and shadoweavers would land light hits occasionally when the room was full. But I never felt in danger at any time.

the syntax to start the paladin quest is...

Ask Fenhalut about work (do this twice) he should say...

Fenhalut says, "Go talk to The Last for anything that he might need."

1ST TASK

Find The Last at the Blackthorn Canyon entrance, then "ask the last about job"

The Last says, "Well, I did request some help for the wall to be repaired. Dang nasty vines keep tearing it up as fast as we can repair it. Head on over to the outpost and grab some rocks and fill in the holes that are on this side. There are quite a few, just REPAIR wall WITH rock.

go to the trader outpost just north of Blackthorn canyon and "ask minister about rock"

The Darkling Wood commerce minister says, "Rocks? Oh yes, rocks! Take all the rocks you need in the crate on the floor there. It gets filled often by other folks, to repair the wall I guess."

type get rocks (grab more than one bunch at a time to save some walking)

go to any of the rooms with the description "Before the Wall" and type "repair wall with rock", there are 4 rooms in total you can repair the wall in, keep repairing until you see...

There are no more holes in this wall that you can spot. Maybe you can repair another section or wait till the vines destroy it again.

You'll need to move from room to room doing this several times, until all the walls in all the rooms are fully repaired.

Return to The Last and "ask the last about job" if you get this message....

The Last says, "You're done already?! I am still getting reports of holes in the wall. You might want to check out the base of the wall. We'll get the battlements and other parts.

Don't panic...the walls will start to need repairing some more shortly after you finished fixing them, just keep repairing as you can and returning to The Last

eventually he will say

The Last says, "Thank you so much <PlayerName>! I will inform Commander Fenhalut that you have helped out and he may give you another task.

Ask Fenhalut about work (do this twice) he should say...

Commander Fenhalut says, "Go talk to The Second. I believe he has something for you to do".

2ND TASK

Find The Second Eothim located in the armory, then "ask eothim about job"

Eothim says, "Well, I did request some help for the onager's to be repaired. Head on over to the front battlements and the <random room> west of the eastern most room you can repair that onager. Look at the onager to see what part needs to be repaired. The parts to repair are here in the crate.

You'll need to go to the specified room, look at the onager and "repair <random broken component> with my <suitable part from crate>, keep running to the armory for more parts and repairing the onager until you get the following message after one of your repairs.

You feel as if that should complete the tasks you were assigned.

return to Eothim and "ask eothim about job" he should say...

Second Eothim says, "Thank you <PlayerName>. I will inform Commander Fenhalut that you have helped out and he may give you another task.

return to Fenhalut, and "ask Fenhalut about work" he should say...

Commander Fenhalut says, "Go talk to the Captain of the Watch. He has requested some help.

Find Captain of the Watch Grimnur, he usually patrols the Forward battlements.

"ask Grimnur about job" he will reply with...

This mission will require you to spend at least six anlas on the battlements. You will not be able to leave the battlements, which means *no* going down the wall. No dying on your watch! If you accept this then ASK me about job again within 10 seconds. Remember, if you are not able to complete the time requirement, then don't do the mission. If you have problems taking orders, then don't do the mission. I will not let you attempt it again for some time if you leave your post or fail the Watch." > ask Grimnur about job

Captain of the Watch Grimnur says, "Right then!" Grimnur writes your name down on a roster then looks back up at you and says, "Your post is the battlements. I will personally relieve you of your duty when the time comes. We are expecting some trouble, so keep a sharp eye out. Hopefully help will be close by. Your orders are as follows:

Buff up buttercup! Prepare for the onslaught. Hang out on the battlements, and within a few roisaen they will start to flood over the walls. Also, Sporadically while you are fighting...

Captain of the Watch Grimnur quickly marches in and says, "You have not proven yourself enough for me to relieve you. Get a higher body count for *yourself*. I am extending your tour one anlas till you get it right." Then he quickly marches away.
