:FWIW, I'm pretty sure it's not a blended PM/TM but simply TM ranks (including buffs) that affects the cooldown timer. The effective TM from a blended PM/TM only affects personal mana caps, and thus indirectly potency, duration, and integrity. I went to go do an extensive test using HE+TOTRS on the test server to see if I could duplicate your odd cases and maybe see if anything was different about them if I could... only to find that the global preview on test was shut off, so I'm unable to do so. Oh, well. |

:I'll also add that there appears to be a small occasional random factor, since I was occasionally getting a few seconds faster than what I posted (e.g. BTN was occasionally 246 with one 242) but I listed the most common by far value in both cases. It was certainly nothing on the scale of your two oddities, though.--ABSOLON (talk) 21:11, 23 August 2016 (CDT) |

:::It's possible that it simply has a lower base time, since I don't think there's anything that explicitly states all cooldowns are the same length. 300 - skill/3 modified by feat looks like it works for most of your values given the variability in prep time, but we'd need a second set of values done with different skill to compare.--ABSOLON (talk) 00:12, 24 August 2016 (CDT) |

::::The "base" cooldown could be spell specific. From limited use, I would say the cooldown on HE+TOTRS feels almost twice as long. I don't have the hard numbers to back it up yet, but I'll work on getting those tomorrow. - padhg (talk) 00:25, 24 August 2016 (CDT) |

Cooldowns
Gathering data on length of cooldowns so a formula can be figured out.
Spell | Debil/TM skill | Feat? | Cooldown in seconds |
---|---|---|---|
Beckon the Naga | 385 | no | 248 |
Mind Shout | 473 | yes | 157 |
Harm Horde (with TOTRS) | 535 | yes | 34-155 |
Speculation: Cooldown = 375 seconds - Skill/3, If feat known then minus another 60 seconds. Lower cap unknown.
Harm Horde + Time of the Red Spiral cooldowns
According to the speculated formula above, using a blended PM/TM of 535 and with the Targeted Mastery feat I should expect to see a 136-151 interval between occurrences assuming a variability of up to the 15 second prepare time. In the table below I parsed one of my Safari logs for occurrences of "A hellish red spiral". Most of the results are consistent with the cooldown guess, however, two occurrences happened much quicker than expected with only 34 seconds and 98 seconds between occurrences.
Occurrence | Timestamp | Interval (in seconds) |
---|---|---|
1 | 17:33:10 | - |
2 | 17:35:33 | 123 |
3 | 17:38:57 | 144 |
4 | 17:40:35 | 98 |
5 | 21:44:22 | - |
6 | 21:44:56 | 34 |
7 | 21:47:31 | 155 |
8 | 21:49:56 | 145 |
9 | 21:53:23 | - (break in casting) |
10 | 21:55:54 | 151 |
11 | 17:58:27 | 153 |
- FWIW, I'm pretty sure it's not a blended PM/TM but simply TM ranks (including buffs) that affects the cooldown timer. Oh, well.
