[House of the Floating Reed, Statue]
The walkway ends here, with a maple wood balcony overlooking a large body of slow-moving water to the northeast. A wooden statue stands in the outer corner, depicting a willowy dryad holding a large tray of fruit. Roughly hewn posts twined with white ivy from floor to ceiling have been set at periodic intervals down the hall's length. Through a few tall stalks of leafy bamboo, a well-tended garden can be seen to the north.
Obvious exits: north, east.

[House of the Floating Reed, Banquet Hall]
Square pots have been set at either side of a break in the balcony railing, both carved from a pale jade. Each is planted with a line of bamboo shoots in standing water, the thin stalks blooming into leaves in various shades of green. Laid out with a spread of elegant dishes, a carved silverwood table sits opposite a set of narrow steps leading into a wide pool.
Obvious exits: east, west.
[House of the Floating Reed, Lounge]
Large stained glass windows on the north and east sides of the room are accented with a large potted fern set in the corner between them. A trio of low couches surrounds a low coffee table in the center of the room, and a well-stocked bar at the south end of the room is lined with cushioned stools. A wide silverwood arch leads back into the hallway.
Obvious exits: none.
[House of the Floating Reed, West Garden]
A narrow bed of earth wends its way along the west side of the small indoor garden, its curving edge lined with burnished stones. Interspersed around the base of a large raspberry bush are sweet-smelling sprigs of white lilac and milady's lace. Twin jade statues stand on either side of a winding bridge that crosses over the tranquil water to the east, while to the north a set of glass doors leads into a ballroom.
Obvious paths: south.

[House of the Floating Reed, East Garden]
Along the east side of the room is a wide garden bed, edged with carved silverwood. Planted with dragon's mouth orchids and firefall vines, a heady scent comes from the blooming plants. Dim twilight filters through a large skylight, and underneath it is a small fountain made of shaped kokona reeds. Twin jade lions frame a narrow winding bridge to the west, while a bamboo door to the north leads into a small shop.
Obvious paths: south.

Wide steps lead upward onto a low-hanging balcony surrounding the narrow pool. The current in this shallow pool runs from the west, continually flowing underneath the balcony to the east. Patches of floating water lily nestled among kokona reeds have been planted opposite a narrow wooden railing, which serves to keep the delicate plants isolated.
Obvious paths: north, west, northwest.

[House of the Floating Reed, Pool Shallows]
The water is pleasantly warm, running in a steady stream from beneath the low-hanging balcony to the west and flowing eastward. Thin kokona reeds bend slightly with the current, next to a small patch of golden flag planted in the shallow water. A narrow wooden railing cordons off a narrow strip of the water at the west end, the water-bound foliage just beyond it.
Obvious paths: north, northeast, east.
