Many creatures were poorly set up to handle having perception ranks, in fact not even being allowed to use their base ranks in perception contests. These creatures have now been lifted up out of their pit of despair and may actually have some hope of seeing adventurers.
Not all creatures are changed, but some may experience a fairly dramatic surge in perception. If you're having trouble in areas you weren't before, I suggest optimizing your stealth capabilities. Boosters, taking off armor, getting healed, hitting the critter in the head, stunning it, whatever. Basically creatures now work roughly like players for calculating perception instead of sometimes being amazingly weaker. We will be monitoring some of the penalty states, especially wounds. This is live in Prime and Plat. This also was a backbone upgrade to help certain other things, as well as give Nature's Canopy a proper invisibility modifier roughly on par with Khri Silence or Refractive Field. -Z | |
