==Introduction== |

You come upon a quiet cottage, green shuttered and thatch roofed it stands peacefully by a lake. Small and newly plotted herbs dot the windowsill in boxes. You walk the path towards it and push the door open. Clay chimes clatter musically against the door announcing your arrival. The room is lit by a lonely lantern hanging on the wall. Smells of baked goods fill your nostrils and notice the plate of gooey cookies on a stove. The fireplace is currently empty of a blaze.<br /> |

You have to scoot sideways here and there to maneuver around the room without disturbing anything. Despite the mess of things and how cramped the lived in area seems everything feels strangely in its place and very homey. A floral patterned bed in the corner with quilted pillows is covered with paperwork and an open sketchbook. Beside the bed is an empty birdcage that sits with its door propped open and on the opposite side is a white washed table with tea stained lace laid over it is surface beneath an open window. Above it are dried herbs in dainty lace bags hung in a line above the window. Lanita rushes in from outside and plops belly down onto the bed. Her hair tossed across her back, she sticks her stylus in her mouth and shuffles through her work. |

A short, slender Rakash woman with pale skin and black hair that spills straight over her shoulders and back. She mutters busily to herself as her thick-lashed moss green eyes scan left to right over her papers. Scars, hardened, raised, some faint on her skin and bruises in all stages of healing, pattern across her skin. These are the usual badges of the Empath Guild, giving no question to her profession. |

You are wearing some whimsical black sapphire earrings suspended in silver, a long silver chain threaded with a set of house keys, a wrought iron birdcage and some dainty dress slippers. |

Mistakenly collected on a Trader's run as a baby, Lanita was named and taken in by "The Sisters." Not raised in the Rakash ways or to learn them, Lanita at first was ashamed of her Moonskin not knowing what it was. She went on avoiding all and anything linking her to her then 'beastly' form and this frustration added on to her rebellious stage in her adolescent years. |

One full Katamba, while hiding from her Auntie's, like each moonskin, she found an injured and dying Rakash man. This was her very first encounter with any of her own kind. Together, they struggled through the language barrier and learned through their time with one another as she fought to keep him alive. She gave him hope unknowingly as he taught her the ways of her culture, that she was not the only one. This gave her pride and prodded her mind to research and seek out more. After a while, his body finally gave into the infection before she could ask more of the sensitive subject of the Migration and his time beyond the barrier as well as a lead on her biological mother, Lanita devoted herself to the Empath's Guild in the goal to one day go through life not losing another patient or person. She also hopes to allow a chance for others to not go through what she did. A chance to actively learn, enjoy themselves and socialize instead of wallowing in their ignorance. |
