| Tactical combat maneuver that circles an opponent to improve your position without attacking. It trains Tactics, and while grappled it also damages the opponent's balance. |
| Unknown |
The CIRCLE command is a non-damaging tactical maneuver used to improve your position against an opponent. If you are GRAPPLEd to the target, a successful circle also affects their balance, and can knock them off their feet while keeping the grapple.
Syntax
- CIRCLE
- Circle the enemy you are facing.
- CIRCLE <target>
- Circle the indicated enemy.
Detailed Information
Circle is a tactical maneuver.
Circle tends to be a moderately fatiguing maneuver. Attacking again too soon can make this worse.
Circle tends to be balance building.
Circle is a reasonably paced maneuver, but heavy or unbalanced weapons can slow the attack further.
Circle is more accurate than most maneuvers, and is equally suited to puncture, slice, and impact weapons.
Circle temporarily penalizes all defenses, but is equally suited to evasion, parry, and shield defenses.
Notes
- The combat system treats CIRCLE and WEAVE as the same command when calculating the balance modifier of your next attack.
- Circle, BOB, WEAVE and DODGE make a low-risk rotation for keeping balance and position up while a creature works your defenses.
