A blood-red stormwood staff has 15 metal bezels mounted along the top and sides, all of which are empty.
Can hold 15 [[runestone]]s.

You can use the following verbs with the staff:
:{{com|TURN}} change which rune is active
:{{com|PUT}} put a runestone in an empty bezel on the staff
:{{com|PULL}} get the runestone on top of the staff off
:{{com|INVOKE}} activate the runestone on top of the staff

The stormwood staff has a definite magical pattern, though it's too chaotic to understand. You get the impression that order can only be imposed from an outside source.

blood-red stormwood staff
Look: Blackened fractals run the length of the otherwise smooth, sanguine wood. Surmounting the staff, inky-black asharsh'dai forms a bizarre, fifteen-fingered monkey palm with twisted digits extending from its entire circumference to create uniquely disturbing but effective bezel settings. Imperial ruby inlay creates the appearance that the creature's hand is dripping fresh blood.
